Marlie enjoys a countryside location, but is just a short drive from the coast. Perhaps, more accurately, it’s a golf swing and a half from the sea, as Littlestone Golf Club is situated between Marlie and the nearest beach – so don’t forget your clubs!

Marlie is a beautiful countryside park set between the Kentish villages of New Romney and Dymchurch. It’s perfect for families with young children offering great park facilities to keep the kids entertained, including a modern entertainment venue and restaurant. The new heated indoor pool (built-in 2020) is ideal for a dip after a busy day out exploring Kent, and there’s an adventure play area too.

Marlie is also a beacon for nature lovers. Adjacent to the park is a site of special scientific interest (sssi), Dungeness, a shingle-based setting that shelters a large area of low-lying land called Romney Marsh. It’s home to a huge variety of migratory birds, uncommon plants, insects and more. The visitor centre is very close to the park so be sure to take a look!
